Akrapovič Audi RS6 Avant / RS7 Sportback (C8) Downpipe
Akrapovič downpipe and pipe connection kit with sports catalytic converters for Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback C8, designed for the expansion of the Evolution Line system
Construction and materials
The downpipes and connecting pipes are made of stainless steel. In the front part there are sports catalytic converters with a density of 200 cpsi. The downpipes have received thermal insulation, limiting the heating of adjacent car components.
The connecting tubes have been developed specifically for this kit. They contain custom-made flexible connectors, and the connection points to the downpipes are fully insulated. The whole thing was developed and tested together with the titanium Evolution Line system.
Sound characteristics
Complete with the Evolution Line, the sound changes throughout the engine's operating range: from the low rumble, to the powerful and crisp tone of the V8 in the mid-range, to the high frequencies at high revs. The upper range retains the racing character of Akrapovič systems.
Parameters by manufacturer
- Weight reduction: 5,1 kg.
System Configuration
The Downpipe/Link Pipe Kit replaces the corresponding Evolution Line connection section. In this configuration, additional L-AU/SS/6 or L-AU/SS/8 pipes are not needed.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
