Seletron designs and manufactures automotive tuning electronics in Italy, including CHIPBOX tuning modules, PEDALBOOSTER throttle response controllers and EVC-SPORT exhaust valve controllers. CHIPBOX is an add-on module that does not require the factory engine control unit to be reflashed.
PEDALBOOSTER adjusts accelerator response rather than increasing maximum engine output, while EVC-SPORT controls the sound of a compatible valved exhaust. Seletron products let drivers select individual functions according to their intended upgrades and vehicle specification.
PEDALBOOSTER CONNECT communicates with a smartphone over Bluetooth and adjusts pedal response through a dedicated app. Installation uses connectors matched to the original wiring, without replacing the accelerator pedal itself. The manufacturer tests with partners in different countries, and the module is selected for the individual vehicle model.
History and development. Brothers Emanuel and Stefano Lago founded Seletron in 2003, building on automotive-electronics experience acquired during the 1990s. The business began with additional engine-control modules, sold first in Italy and subsequently through an overseas partner network.
The business today. The company now carries out design, development and production in Tezze sul Brenta, in the Vicenza area. Its electronics serve different powertrains, including petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles. International sales and in-house technical capabilities remain central to its activities alongside development of CHIPBOX and PEDALBOOSTER products.
