Akrapovič Evolution Line exhaust for the Audi S7 C7 emphasizes the character of the V8 unit
Construction and materials
The Evolution Line is a lightweight, titanium cat-back system, replacing the exhaust part behind the factory catalytic converters. It was developed for the V8 engine in the Audi S-Series and ends with four round carbon fiber tailpipes.
The valves are actuated by electric actuators. Their position depends on the drive program and how the car is used; the driver can also influence the setting through an individual vehicle program. This allows the exhaust to be integrated into the car's factory maintenance.
Sound characteristics
At lower revs, a deep tone dominates, emphasizing the V8's capacity and character. As the revs increase, the system transitions to a sportier sound.
Changing the throttle position allows you to adjust the character of the exhaust to the selected driving program. Sound therefore remains part of the car's response to the settings and driving style.
Parameters by manufacturer
- Power increase: 3,4 kW at 4500 rpm
- Torque increase: 7,8 Nm at 4000 rpm
- Weight reduction: 7,7 kg.
System Configuration
Factory catalytic converters remain in place. In this configuration, the installation of the Evolution system does not require a change in the engine controller software.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
