Akrapovič Slip-On Line Modular Titanium Exhaust for BMW 1M E82
Construction and materials
The Slip-On has a fully titanium, modular design with a single muffler. In the basic configuration, all exhaust gases pass through the muffler. However, the system is designed so that the flow can be changed when the appropriate equipment is added.
The exhaust end is made up of four tips. The carbon variant of the TP-CT/5 is handmade; its increased size emphasizes the change from the stock exhaust. An alternative version of the titanium tips is also available.
Sound characteristics
The basic setting provides a deeper rumble than the factory system, without the annoying hum. The sound is produced while maintaining the flow of the entire volume of exhaust gas through the muffler.
The optional Sound Kit replaces the blinding plate with a throttle assembly. When activated, most of the exhaust fumes bypass the muffler through bypass channels, significantly increasing the volume at the driver's command.
Parameters by manufacturer
- Power increase: 3,5 kW at 5670 rpm
- Torque increase: 4,6 Nm at 3100 rpm
- Weight reduction: 1,2 kg.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
