Akrapovič Evolution Line sports exhaust system dedicated to the BMW M140i F20/F21 LCI
Construction and materials
The Evolution Line is made of high-quality austenitic stainless steel. Instead of a single standard pipe, two central connecting pipes are used, the system of which has been developed for optimal exhaust gas flow.
The rear section is finished with handcrafted carbon fiber tips. The two-mode throttle is controlled by the car's electronics, integrating the exhaust operation into the driving conditions.
Sound characteristics
When driving calmly, the system maintains a softer tone. Dynamic use of the engine enhances the deep, sporty sound, and the throttle is managed by the car's controller.
The change in sound character is due to the rebuilt section of the two tubes working together with the rear silencer and throttle, not just replacing the tips themselves.
Expansion Options & Accessories
Optionally, the system can be expanded with a high-flow downpipe equipped with a 200 CPSI sports catalytic converter.
Setup and Fit
The complete kit requires MTP-BM/SS/3H and E-BM/SS/3 parts. The system is also suitable for the xDrive version, but is not intended for cars equipped with an OPF/GPF filter.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
