Akrapovič Evolution Line sports exhaust system dedicated to the BMW M140i F20/F21 LCI with GPF filter
Construction and materials
The Evolution configuration combines the titanium Slip-On S-BM/T/5H with the Evolution Link Pipe Set E-BM/SS/4 pipes made of austenitic stainless steel. The two central pipes replace the single series pipe, creating a changed exhaust gas flow path.
The titanium rear section has hand-crafted carbon tips, an electronically controlled throttle and a manually adjustable acoustic deflector in front of the tip. The deflector allows you to increase the presence of sound in the car's interior.
Sound characteristics
The Link Pipe set was developed in collaboration with Slip-On to enhance the clean sound of an in-line six-cylinder engine. The sound is deep and sporty, with no unwanted hum or flow noise.
Throttle control combines a smooth, full-bodied tone when driving calmly with a more punchy timbre during dynamic acceleration. Deflector adjustment further affects the acoustic experience in the cabin.
Expansion Options & Accessories
Optionally, the system can be expanded with a high-flow downpipe equipped with a 200 CPSI sports catalytic converter.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
