Akrapovič Evolution Line sports exhaust system for the BMW M2 Competition F87N (2018+)
Construction and materials
The Evolution combines a Slip-On rear muffler with Evolution Link Pipes and a mid muffler. The whole thing is made of titanium, and the increased diameter of the pipes and the course of the individual sections promote a smooth flow of exhaust gases.
Includes carbon tips and controllable valves. The Evolution tube set includes a control module, receiver and Sound Remote Controller that allow you to choose the nature of the entire system.
Sound characteristics
The sound is deep, sporty and close in character to racing, but without unwanted tones and annoying hum. The sound is clearly different from the stock system.
Open and closed throttle positions produce a noticeably different sound. The included controls allow you to strike a balance between intense, sporty tone and comfort for everyday riding.
System Configuration
The Evolution pipes have been developed and tested together with Slip-On. The kit has been prepared for the M2 Competition with an OPF/GPF filter, with a match also for the version without this filter.
The included control kit operates the valves via remote control as well as the app. Optional trim elements are a carbon diffuser and mirror caps.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
