Akrapovič Evolution Line titanium exhaust for BMW M2 F87
Construction and materials
The system is made of lightweight, high-grade titanium. Instead of one standard pipe, two separate pipes running from the downpipe to the muffler are used. Their shape and mileage were selected for the free flow of exhaust gases from the six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine.
Carbon fiber tips provide the visible end of the titanium construction. The entire kit was developed as an Evolution chip for the first version of the M2 F87; it is not intended for cars equipped with an OPF/GPF filter.
Sound characteristics
At low revs, the system retains a smooth, subdued sound suitable for everyday driving. However, there is a higher key in the outer sound, which distinguishes it from the stock exhaust.
In the upper rpm range, the valves remain open, and the sound takes on a distinctly racing feel. The transition between calm and intense tone is an important part of tuning this system.
Parameters by manufacturer
- Power increase: 6,8 kW at 6150 rpm
- Torque increase: 8,8 Nm at 4300 rpm
- Weight reduction: 5,3 kg.
Expandability
Further expansion is made possible by optional downpipes, available with or without catalytic converters. These are separate configuration elements.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
