Akrapovič Evolution Link Pipe Set Long Steel Connecting Pipes for BMW M2 / M3 / M4 G8x
Construction and materials
The long section of the Evolution Link Pipe is made of high-grade stainless steel. There is a resonator in the middle section, and the design replaces the section with secondary catalysts. The kit was developed and tested together with the titanium Slip-On Line.
Sound characteristics
Complete with the Slip-On, you get the deep, full, and sporty tone of the turbocharged inline-six. The resonator helps reduce unwanted rumble while keeping the engine clean. The acoustics described apply to the entire setup with a titanium rear section.
Parameters by manufacturer
- Included with Slip-On Line: 13.4 kW power gain at 5850 rpm and 21.9 Nm torque at 5850 rpm.
- The above results are taken from a measurement on a BMW M2 G87 with OPF/GPF against the stock exhaust; they are not a stand-alone pipe measurement or result for every BMW model.
- Section weight reduction: 5,8 kg.
Configuration
The section can be used in suitable cars with and without OPF. It is part of the Slip-On extension, so it is selected for a specific layout and body variant.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
