Akrapovič BMW M340i/M440i G20/G22/G26 Slip-on Line Titanium
Akrapovič Slip-on Line sports exhaust system dedicated to M340i/M440i G20/G22/G26
Construction and materials
The system is made of lightweight, high-quality titanium and is finished with handmade carbon tips. The complex components are created in Akrapovič's own foundry. One resonator is placed on both sides of the central silencer, thanks to which the acoustics shape the entire course of the system.
Instead of one standard throttle, two valves are used. The included LPG driver operates an additional throttle, and two reflective surfaces in the tips direct some of the sound towards the cabin. This enhances the driver and passenger experience without reducing tuning to the outside volume alone.
Sound characteristics
When driving calmly, the sound is smooth and full. When accelerating harder, it transitions into a deep, sporty tone. Two valves adjust the character of the sound, and resonators on the sides of the muffler fine-tune its timbre. Acoustic deflectors allow you to hear this change more clearly inside the car.
Configuration and expansion
The Slip-On version has been developed for cars with an OPF filter. An additional BMW 18 30 8 686 640 throttle actuator as standard is required for configuration. Optional connecting pipes allow you to further expand the exhaust and the Sound Kit allows additional control of the sound from the cabin.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
