Akrapovič BMW X4 M / X4M Competition F98 Slip-On Line Titanium
Akrapovič Slip-On Line sports exhaust system dedicated to the BMW X4 M / X4M Competition F98 without and with GPF filter (in both versions)
Construction and materials
The Slip-On is made of lightweight, high-quality titanium. The valve housings are cast at the Akrapovič plant. The kit reduces weight by 10.7 kg compared to the factory M Sport system.
Two pairs of tips combine titanium with carbon fiber. For the X4 M and X4 M Competition, TP-CT/60 tip variant is required. An optional high-gloss carbon rear diffuser adds a separate design complement.
Sound characteristics
The sound has been tuned to the in-line, supercharged six-cylinder engine. The feeling of higher volume is particularly pronounced when shifting, which receives a stronger acoustic accent.
Unwanted hum has been eliminated. Further sound changes are made possible by the optional Sound Kit and the titanium Evolution Link Pipe Set.
System Configuration
TP-CT/60 tips are a required component, ordered separately from the basic Slip-On section. You should choose the variant specific to the X4 M, not the tips designed for the X3 M.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
