Akrapovič Evolution Line sports exhaust system dedicated to Mercedes AMG C43 W206
Design and materials
The rear Slip-On section is made of high-grade titanium. Two pairs of bumper-mounted tips combine handcrafted carbon covers with titanium internals. Special manifolds inside both silencers reduce flow noise.
The internal cones of the tips act as acoustic deflectors, directing part of the sound towards the cabin. The two valves work together with a control kit that takes into account the driving parameters and precisely adjusts their opening and closing.
The Evolution Link Pipe section is made of stainless steel. Two parallel pipes reduce flow resistance, and a special resonator has been developed to reduce unwanted rumble when working with the Slip-On.
Sound characteristics
The sound is seamlessly linked to the load and engine rpm. When driving calmly, it remains smooth and orderly, while dynamic acceleration brings out a sharper, sportier tone.
Evolution Link Pipe section with resonator reduces unwanted rumble. At higher rpm, the sound becomes more decisive, and gear changes during acceleration are accompanied by precise crackles and shots.
System Configuration
The Slip-On connection to the Evolution Link Pipe E-ME/SS/2 replaces the configuration with the L-ME/T/12. No separate L-ME/T/12 section is needed in the Evolution kit.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
