Akrapovič Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 C236/A236 OPF/GPF – Slip-On Line Titanium

New product Akrapovič Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 C236/A236 OPF/GPF – Slip-On Line Titanium

Akrapovič Slip-On Line S-ME/T/16H titanium exhaust for Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupé and Cabriolet C236/A236

Design and materials

The entire system is made of high-grade titanium. Two pairs of bumper tips have handmade carbon covers and titanium internal parts. Special manifolds located in both mufflers reduce the noise of exhaust gas flow.

Internal cones act as acoustic deflectors: they reflect some of the sound from the tips towards the cab. The two valves work in conjunction with the Control Kit, which takes driving parameters into account and precisely manages their position.

Sound characteristics

The sound changes smoothly with the load and engine rpm. When driving calmly, it remains mellow and orderly, and the harder acceleration brings out a sportier, more punchy tone.

Throttle control and acoustic deflectors work together to shape what the driver and passengers hear. This means that the change in sound is clearly linked to the way you drive.

Parameters by manufacturer

  • Power increase: 4,6 kW at 5650 rpm
  • Torque increase: 7,7 Nm at 5650 rpm
  • Weight: 11,9 kg; reduction of 6,3 kg (34,6%).

Mounting Configuration

The system requires additional Mercedes Genuine components matched to the selected end finish, A2368853301 and A2368853401 parts. Exact variants are provided in the assembly documentation.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.

An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.

Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.

History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.

The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
