Akrapovič Evolution Exhaust for Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe C217
Design and materials
The Evolution Line is made entirely of high-quality titanium alloys, using castings from the Akrapovič plant. The active X-pipe allows the exhaust gas streams to be mixed from both sides of the engine. Inside it, a precision-machined and guided throttle works.
The design is 47% lighter than the stock exhaust. The tips combine titanium and carbon fiber composite to create a smooth, continuous surface finish.
Sound characteristics
The active X-pipe affects the timbre resulting from the firing order of the V8 cylinders. With the throttle open, the sound becomes fuller, more continuous and more resonant.
Closing the throttle gives a powerful, distinct roar with a muscle car-like character. The adjustment uses the car's electronics and the Akrapovič Sound Kit, allowing you to choose between different colors of the biturbo engine.
Parameters by manufacturer
- Power increase: 8,6 kW at 2250 rpm
- Torque increase: 36,7 Nm at 2250 rpm
- Weight reduction: 14,7 kg.
Setup and Fit
Complete layout requires MTP-ME/T/1H and E-ME/T/2 parts. The division is due to the way it is packaged. This version is not suitable for cars equipped with an OPF/GPF filter.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
