Akrapovič Porsche 911 GT3 (992) Slip-on Race Line Titanium

Akrapovič Porsche 911 GT3 (992) Slip-on Race Line Titanium

Akrapovič Slip-On Race Titanium Exhaust for Porsche 911 GT3 (992)

Design and materials

The Slip-On Race is made of high-grade titanium, the surface of which is sandblasted and coated. The two tips have a coated outer shell, an engraved logo and six embossings inside, reminiscent of a six-cylinder engine.

The valve housings and collectors inside the muffler are cast at the Akrapovič plant. While retaining the standard manifolds, the system works with a steel adapter P-CP034. The adapter has special thermal insulation, and the flow course has been refined using CFD analyses and in-car tests.

Sound characteristics

The flow geometry and throttle operation have been tuned to achieve a smooth, full-bodied tone with a smooth ride. At high revs, the character changes to a decidedly sporty one. The adapter that works with the stock manifolds has also been developed to ensure the acoustics of this configuration.

System upgrades

An alternative to keeping the stock manifolds is to combine the Slip-On Race with the titanium Evolution Header Set E-PO/T/7, forming a full Akrapovič system for the GT3 992.

Technical specifications

In the configuration with the P-CP034 adapter for the Porsche GT3 992, an increase of 6.5 kW at 2900 rpm and 24.1 Nm at 2400 rpm and a weight reduction of 3.5 kg were measured.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.

An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.

Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.

History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.

The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
