Akrapovič Porsche 911 GT3 / GT3 RS 991 dB reducer Titanium
The Akrapovič TP-PO991GT3/BOX titanium sound reducer is designed for Akrapovič systems in the Porsche 911 GT3 and GT3 RS generation 991
Design and materials
The reducer is made of high-grade, lightweight titanium. It acts as an additional silencer, providing the exhaust gases with more space to expand. It takes the place of the Akrapovič tip set in the system designed for the Porsche GT3 or GT3 RS generation 991.
Sound characteristics
During a dynamic measurement, i.e. when a car is passing, the reducer reduces the sound level by an approximate 2-3 dB. At the same time, it retains the characteristic colour of the Akrapovič system. The result depends on the measurement method and the ambient conditions; the value given does not apply to static measurement.
Application
The reducer works with the Slip-On Line, Evolution Line, Sports Cup Line and Evolution Race Line Akrapovič systems for the GT3 and GT3 RS generation 991. It is also compatible with the optional Akrapovič carbon diffuser for the GT3 991.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.
An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.
Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.
History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.
The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
