Akrapovič Slip-On Titanium Exhaust for Porsche 911 Turbo (991)

Design and materials

The Slip-On is made of high-grade titanium alloy and protected with a coating for increased durability. This is the first step in modifying the exhaust, reducing the weight of the rear of the system without replacing all sections.

Handcrafted tips combine titanium with carbon fiber. Their finish complements the muffler design, maintaining the consistent look of the rear of the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S.

Sound characteristics

Slip-On gives the engine a deep, distinctive tone developed by Akrapovič sound engineers. The change in timbre is one of the main effects of using this exhaust section alongside weight limitation.

Parameters by manufacturer

  • Power increase: 5,8 kW at 3300 rpm
  • Torque increase: 14,8 Nm at 2600 rpm
  • Weight: 7,8 kg; reduction of 6,4 kg.

Expandability

The system can be combined with the optional Akrapovič Link Pipes, available with or without catalytic converters. They are the next step in the expansion of the Slip-On configuration.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.

An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.

Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.

History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.

The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
