Akrapovič Porsche 911 Turbo/S (992) Link Pipe w Cat

Akrapovič Porsche 911 Turbo/S (992) Link Pipe w Cat

Pipes connecting Akrapovič Link Pipe to sports catalytic converters for Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S (992)

Design and materials

The connecting tubes are equipped with high-flow sports catalytic converters with a density of 200 cpsi. They replace the OPF/GPF filter section and are a development of the Slip-On Race Line for the Porsche 911 Turbo. The entire configuration was developed and tested as a co-op kit.

Sound characteristics

The deep, raw rumble of the six-cylinder boxer appears as soon as the engine starts and revs low. The powerful midrange transitions into rich, high frequencies. Quick gear shifts emphasize this color, and reductions are accompanied by sharp, racing noises.

Despite the crisp sound, the tuning maintains cabin comfort throughout the rev range. It reduces unwanted rumble and flow noise.

Fitment

Product dedicated to: Porsche 911 Turbo/S (992)

For cars without OPF/GPF, the use of L-PO/SS/4 requires additional Porsche Genuine Parts 0PB 145 325 C and 0PB 145 326 C.

Akrapovič creates performance exhaust systems that combine lightweight construction with carefully developed sound. Depending on the application, the brand uses titanium, stainless steel and carbon-fibre components.

An in-house titanium foundry and materials laboratory support control over key stages of exhaust production. Akrapovic is an option for sports car owners who value component weight, craftsmanship and distinctive tailpipe detailing.

Akrapovič quality control includes alloy composition, mechanical properties and weld analysis. Prototype measurements use optical scanning and coordinate measuring equipment. Sound development combines road testing, dynamometer work, flow measurements and acoustic simulations.

History and development. Akrapovič was founded in 1991, with its development rooted in motorcycle racing. Milestones included entering MotoGP in 2002, opening its own titanium foundry in 2009 and adding a second factory in 2014.

The business today. The company now manufactures motorcycle and performance-car exhausts in Slovenia for aftermarket customers and OEM partners. Racing-team support remains part of its operations. Its laboratories, foundry and manufacturing facilities enable materials research and acoustic development to take place within the business rather than relying solely on external suppliers.
