Kline Porsche 911 992.2 Turbo Hybrid Inconel Exhaust
Sport exhaust system Kline Innovation for Porsche 911 Turbo 992.2 was designed for drivers seeking a distinctly sportier sound than the factory exhaust system provides.
The Kline design brings out a sharper, more aggressive and higher-pitched sound from the six-cylinder boxer engine while maintaining comfort for everyday driving.
The system is available in a version made from Inconel 625. The particularly lightweight Inconel construction uses components with wall thicknesses of just 0.7 mm, reducing system weight and producing a distinctive metallic exhaust note.
The system is fitted with actively controlled valves, allowing the car to combine two different characters.
With the valves closed, the exhaust remains relatively discreet and comfortable during relaxed driving and longer journeys. With the valves open, the sound becomes significantly more intense, sporty and exciting.
A properly designed X-pipe helps achieve a cleaner, more harmonious sound and reduce unwanted drone at constant speeds.
Depending on the intended use of the vehicle, the system can be equipped with:
- sport catalytic converters 200 cpsi,
- sport catalytic converters 100 cpsi,
- system DECAT without catalytic converters,
- components made from Inconel 625 or stainless steel.
The Inconel version is 11kg lighter than the factory exhaust.
Carbon fiber exhaust tips are available as an option.
Kline Innovation develops sports car exhaust systems using materials including Inconel 625. Its range also includes stainless steel manifolds and carbon-fibre tailpipes.
The brand engineers applications for cars such as the Porsche 911, Ferrari 458 and Corvette C8 Z06. Kline exhausts suit owners who prioritise material selection, sound character and components designed for a specific vehicle platform.
Kline explains that Inconel’s strength permits thinner walls and lower component weight. Its carbon-fibre parts use pre-preg material cured under heat and pressure in an autoclave. Thermal-management options also include a proprietary zirconium ceramic coating and hand-fabricated stainless steel heat shields.
History and development. Kline’s development is documented through projects for niche supercar manufacturers including W Motors, RUF and Corbellati. Its portfolio includes the Fenyr SuperSport, unveiled in 2015, and the Corbellati Missile project shown in 2018; these are vehicle-debut dates, not Kline’s founding date.
The business today. The business now combines exhaust sales with original-equipment design and low-to-medium-volume production. It carries out modelling, scanning and component manufacturing internally and reports collaboration with Base Materials on material solutions. Engineering services therefore remain part of its activities alongside ready-made aftermarket systems.
