QuickSilver is a British exhaust brand founded in London in 1973. Its origins lie in producing stainless steel exhausts as a longer-lasting alternative to original components.
The range includes applications for classic cars as well as modern performance and luxury vehicles. In-house development facilities, a rolling road and an acoustic chamber make sound engineering an important part of the QuickSilver product development process.
QuickSilver’s Sound Architect family covers different approaches to sound control according to the application. Selected systems integrate electronic or pneumatic valves with factory vehicle controls, while others use a separate module and remote controls. Some designs also incorporate ceramic coatings or thermal cladding to manage exhaust heat.
History and development. QuickSilver traces its origins to 1973 and stainless-steel replacements for original exhaust systems. From that durability-focused starting point, the company developed ranges for classic, luxury and modern performance cars.
The business today. In 2025, its headquarters and research facilities moved to Goodwood in Sussex, while its Devon factory became fully integrated into the group as QuickSilver Technology. The business now also provides complete exhaust development for vehicle manufacturers and restomod specialists, using rolling-road testing and dedicated acoustic facilities.
