Armaspeed’s carbon intake development grew out of earlier experience with supercharger systems and composite body components. Hyperflow housings were developed with the aim of limiting heat transfer into the intake air. The wider programme also includes big brake kits and valved exhaust systems, connecting airflow upgrades with other areas of vehicle tuning.
History and development. Armaspeed describes its origins as an enthusiast’s garage projects that gradually developed into a manufacturing business. A significant change was moving from a declining supercharger market towards intakes and aerodynamics, drawing on its parent company’s experience with composite automotive components.
The business today. The brand now operates internationally and develops aerodynamic components, brake kits and filters alongside Hyperflow intakes. Its organisation includes development, sales and customer-service teams. Carbon-fibre intake systems remain a recognisable specialism, but form part of a wider vehicle-modification portfolio.
