Dahler performance exhaust systems

Dahler (dÄHLer) is a Swiss-rooted tuning specialist for BMW and BMW M vehicles. Exhaust systems form part of its Competition Line programme, alongside performance, suspension and styling upgrades.

The brand also offers exhaust valve control modules, with Valve Controller X developed in Switzerland and manufactured in Germany. Dahler products allow sound upgrades to be coordinated with a broader BMW personalisation project.

dÄHLer has specialised in BMW tuning since 1996. Its programme also covers plug-in and mild hybrids, rather than only conventional petrol and diesel models. Beyond the exhaust, customers can select engine modules, lowering springs, forged wheels and carbon-fibre splitters for the same vehicle.

History and development. Christoph Dähler founded the Swiss company in 1996 and continues to lead it. Its BMW and BMW M specialism developed into the Competition Line programme, combining performance upgrades with chassis and styling products. The brand celebrates its thirtieth anniversary in 2026.

The business today. dÄHLer now operates through businesses and partners in Switzerland, Germany, the USA and the UK. Its portfolio extends beyond exhausts to electronics, suspension, wheels and carbon components. The US operation is an official branch of the Swiss business rather than simply an independent retailer of its products.
