Maxhaust active exhaust systems

Maxhaust develops Active Sound systems that generate a soundtrack through an electronic module and speakers rather than a conventional sports silencer. The controller uses vehicle data such as engine speed and accelerator position.

The Bridge platform manages compatible devices through one app, with sound settings organised into profiles. A Maxhaust system personalises the acoustic driving experience rather than mechanically increasing engine output.

The Maxhaust Bridge platform supports software and sound updates delivered through a smartphone. The app’s diagnostic function checks connected devices and highlights communication or speaker installation issues. The ecosystem also includes separate modules for exhaust valves, interior lighting and air suspension on compatible vehicles.

History and development. Maxhaust is a brand of Media-CarTec GmbH in Mainhausen, Germany. A documented step in its international development was the debut of its Maxhaust USA partner in late 2022, followed by a Jeep Beach appearance in 2023. These dates concern the US operation, not the founding of the German brand.

The business today. Its activities now extend beyond sound generation: the Bridge platform also connects ambient lighting, air-suspension and exhaust-valve control, and selected tuning modules. Maxhaust is developing an integrated vehicle-electronics ecosystem, with individual functions dependent on vehicle compatibility.
